Photograph of a full length portrait of the young Albert Grey, later 4th Earl Grey (1851-1917), seated at a table, facing towards the camera. He turns his head to the left, his face captured in profile. He wears Highland dress, including a kilt and tartan socks.

His father was Sir Charles Grey, secretary to Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. In later life, Albert Grey served as Governor-General of Canada from 1904 to 1911.
